Position:                Semi-Permanent Substitute Teacher

Currently:              7.5 hours per day, Remaining Student Days for the 25/26 school year

Reports to:            Building Principal/Assistant Superintendent

Salary:                   $150.00/day

JOB DESCRIPTION:  To teach according to the provided courses of study.  To supervise students as directed by building principal.  To provide accurate record keeping per building procedures.

Qualifications:

• Educational bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred
• Valid State of Ohio teaching certifications/license
• Prior teaching experience is preferable
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

4. Student/teacher relationship

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure safety of students
2. Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and present clear, complete and accurate explanations utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable to the level of learners
3. Maintain respect at all times for confidential information
4. Observe ethics of the teaching profession
5. Follow/support/carry out the district and building mission statement
6. Refer attendance, health, and psychological/emotional problems to Principal and/or Guidance Counselor

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support school, enforce school rules and policies and work collaboratively with team members
2. Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or designee
